This stand will support most sharpening stones made today.
It will hold stones between 6 1 2 and 8 1 2 long.
Although designed primarily for water stones, it works equally well on diamond and oil stones; the stones do not know the difference.
The rubber feet keep the stone from sliding around and have the added benefit of raising the stone 7 8, enough to provide sufficient room for your hands while sharpening.
The chrome plated steel rails prevent corrosion.
The rubber feed prevent it from moving around as you perform your round-trips.
